Brazil: Firefox wins Info's best software of the year award

Firefox was just chosen by Info Magazine as the best software and best browser of the year for 2008. See this year’s complete list of nominees and awards on the Info website

Mozilla was represented by Bruno Magrani, Mario Rinaldi, and Clauber Stipkovic.

The ceremony’s photos are available on the Info site

In addition to the award, we’re also excited that NetApplications reports 30% market share for Firefox in Brazil for November 2008 (up from 19% in November 2007).

I sometimes hear "The cool feature X you installed does not work for me any more". It usually helps renaming the desktop shortcut from "Mozilla Firefox" to "Internet"

I am not a great fan of IE in general, but for this simple test; IE8 loaded the page faster than Firefox. Also, it did not ask me to install a specific plugin in order to load the JavaFx portion of the page. IE handles Google Wave much better than Firefox, so this is the browser I use to interact on the Wave.

Absolutely. The other browsers are not included as they did not even successfully launch the applet. I am not saying that you guys are going to have the exact same issue as me and therefore looking forward to your comments.
