Today we’re launching round 2 of the Firefox in your country survey
with a new list of countries and new and improved questions. The survey will remain open until December 26th.
Thanks to Staś Małolepszy and Mozilla’s awesome team of localizers, the survey is available in 15 languages: English, French, Greek, Italian, Spanish (Spain, Argentina, Mexico), Catalan, Czech, Hebrew, Romanian, Sinhala, Vietnamese, Dutch, and Frisian!
So in this round we would especially like to hear from people in the following countries. Please help us spread the word to others, whether or not they use Firefox:
Argentina
Bolivia
Chile
Czech Republic
France
Greece
Israel
Italy
Mexico
Peru
Romania
Sri Lanka
Spain
The Netherlands
Vietnam
If you’re from any country this survey is localized for beyond the ones listed above, we also definitely welcome your responses in this round.
The link to the survey is the same for everyone and the page should automatically display the survey in your language. If you don’t see it in your language, use the pull-down menu at the top right to change it.
We’re already planning round 3 for early 2009, so if you’re interested in helping launch the survey in your country, please comment here.
Thanks for participating!

Since you already have the survey available in both Dutch and French, it would cost nothing to also welcome answers from Belgium :)
(In other words, Spanish and French are not the only languages spoken in more than one country)

Is it countries or languages that you want to hear about_ Many of those countries are not monolingual, you know.

Benoit and Kjøleskapet: I updated the post to reflect that we do indeed welcome responses from all countries. Belgium has been great so far with over 250 responses just this weekend. Thanks!

Hello,
The Vietnamese version of the survey doesn't include the expired date. Is it a bug or just because there hasn't been a vi locale on the survey server?
Just a small issue, though. I'd just like to know before asking my community to join the surveys :)

Mạnh Hùng: you can point people directly to the Vietnamese version at http://surveys.mozilla.org/?id=16&plocale=vi

What's the reason of expecting replies from a set of countries? Why not others? What's the criteria to be in this set of countries?

Osman: we're hoping to cover all countries eventually. In the first round we had limited the number of countries because we wanted to test and refine the questions. In this second round, we opened it to anyone who was willing to help localize and spread the word about the survey. We're planning a 3rd round next year, so if there's a country you would like to see on the list, please comment here, feedback on this is very helpful.

I'm not sure what criterias are taken into consideration when countries are selected. I don't understand why, for example, Russia isn't in this list, while Italy is. Is Mozilla less interested in Russian market than it's in Italian market? (Russia is just an example, like I said. I'm not Russian or recommending it to be added.)

While this doesn't personally affect me, you might want to add an "other" option to the gender question to avoid offending anyone who is transgender.

Hey. Just wanted to inform you that we've got the survey to appear on most of the Israeli online news sites. Hope enough people seen these articles and help us getting more participates to our little survey. :)
