This past weekend I was at the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark SCCMAS for the 2008 Airshow.
From the sky the SCCMAS park looks like a real airport but the runway is only a couple of yards long.
As always in events like this, I was impressed by the work, the beauty of some of the planes, and the skills of the pilots. But the most impressive of all were the jets. These little toys can fly at speeds up to 200 Mph and I am sure the pilots need to be skilled to fly these birds.
Unfortunately one of the jets crashed that day due to a stabilizer failure.
